Windows XP PRo Automatic Update does not work. All the choices in the Automatic Updates are dimmed out. Can't find any solutions on the Microsoft site. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

AUTOMATIC UPDATES OPTIONS ARE GREYED OUT?
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/aupolicy.htm

This involves making changes in the registry. Always back up your registry before making any changes. ERUNT is an excellent FREE tool to use for doing this: http://www.larshederer.homepage.t-online.de/erunt/

Checked the registry and those items weren't in there. Also tried tips at links. Nothing worked.... Automatic Updates options are still dimmed out. Anything else I can check? Do I have to do a repair install of XP?
