Hi,
I was having trouble with the Google Redirect infection today and as per instructions I had downloaded the DDS app and ran that succesfully, I then did the same with gmer.exe but it failed on the first run and on the second it shut down my machine... since then, to my horror, I have gotten "Boot Device Not Available" - I nearly cried. So I downloaded xPUD.exe and I was able to boot from CD & access the xPUD interface on the infected machine BUT the C drive is not showing in the mnt listing - I was gogin to copy the MBR.bin to a flash drive so that I could zip & send it in to you guys for advice :(

I'm at my wits end... this is my main work horse and while I do have a backup of files I just can't believe my work machine is beyond help - this is going to be disasterous for me... any help at all with this mess would be REALLY appreicated!

Hope to hear from you soon and thanks in advance,
Jaclyn
