a .jsp file is a java server file You should be able to open it with the any standards compliant browser. If you still can't I would update your java.

I have a little different point of view compared to respected Animal :

JSP is supposed to be executed on a web server (where the web site is hosted). Basically it is an HTML file with Java code embedded.
You can rename it to .html and open in your web browser to check whats inside it.

If you are getting download prompts of a JSP file, then it means - bad site coding, bad web server configuration etc.

You do not need Java installed to access the JSP pages of a web site in your browser.

By no means am I an authority and in this matter defer to more server side knowledgeable Romeo29. See what happens kids when you read a little and 'think' you know what the subject matter is. I always learn something on this site.

Thank You Romeo29.
