Used Avast and MalWarebytes (both free versions) Windows XP OS and now dialup will not work. I didn't change any settings other than reinstalling her printer (I had to restart the Print Spool Service something had stopped it) I hope this all makes sense if not let me know. And maybe I should be in the virus forum I wasn't sure.
thanks!

Try using System Restore and start again.

If this returns it to a state where you can get online I would suggest that you follow the instructions in This Guide starting at Step 6.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it HERE Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to try to resolve them.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

I had to turn off System Restore to remove the viruses and then set a new restore point after removal of the viruses.
