Hi.
I have a number of laptops for different purposes, and the old Dell Inspiron 700m that i use for idle browsing and promiscuous torrenting was infected with Antimalware Doctor. following tips on Bleeping computer and others, i used rkill and malwarebytes to fix the immediate problem. however, all browsers (on this computer, firefox, IE, and Safari)are now subject to random redirects, and things load slowly, despite the connection speed indicator in the taskbar showing normal performance.

i would post the malwarebytes logs and other data, but i am not sure which things you prefer not be posted here.
i apologize for posting about what seems to be a well-worn issue here, but the fixes mentioned in other topics either didn't work or seemed complicated enough that i shouldn't attempt them unguided.

many thanks in advance.
