So I'm looking to buy the Logitech G500 mouse but I have a question about its shape and feel. I really like the shape and feel of the MX518 and G5 mouse but my MX518 stopped working recently.

I set my wrist on the mouse pad/computer desk when playing, will I still be able to do this and have good control on the G500? It just looks like its higher and your fingers have to go forward a bit more to click, and ill have to raise my arm to get a good grip.

Is it worth getting the Logitech G500 mouse? Or is there a mouse that is similar to the MX518/G5 Shapes that anyone can recommend for me.

As much information would be great! And thanks!
