i have run scan after scan after scan with malwarebytes, avira, and superantispywarepro - all to no avail. i got rid of the salient parts of the trojan - the fake antivirus program that asks for money to "fix your computer." But i can't get rid of the redirect/browser hijack - just don't know enough about how it all works. i followed the directions to the letter. the only thing i didn't do was "disable scripts" because i don't know that that means. any help would be greatly appreciated. my jobs, therefore my livelihood, depends on my computer working properly - HELP !!!
