hi, I volunteered to help a friend clean some spyware, at least thats what I thought. This Malware is called Security Shield, I have tried using Malwarebytes, hijack this, Norton (installed on the system) and it won't let me do anything. I can go to control panel but thats it, won't let me do anything else, keep getting a pop up saying that if found hundreds of virus, and wanting to register. I can go to safe mode, ran Malwarebytes and found nothing,
any suggestions?

Sometimes a reformat and re-install is the best and fastest option for you to take. It gives you a fresh start, and the knowledge of knowing that your computer is clean.

We appreciate you coming back to the forums to post about your decision to perform a reformat and re-install.
