Hey crew...

I was just wondering about the Web Sharing tab. On XP, if you right click on a folder then scroll down to Properties, then click on the Web Sharing tab it says that you can Share on: Default Web Site. Does anyone have any info about this tab? How can I share this folder on a web site by using this tab?? I tried searching Microsoft.com but of course there was no info on this... Any info would be great!

Thanks...

Which version of XP do you have? I have Professional, and I don't have a Web Sharing tab. I only have a plain ol' Sharing tab that has options for Local and Network sharing. Do you have this tab also or just the Web Sharing one?

This is what I found in Help under Sharing Files and Folders Overview:

You can publish pictures and documents on the Web using the Web Publishing Wizard. The files will be stored in a private, online folder that you manage.

Not sure if that is the same thing or not, because the process given is different(does not involve a "Web Sharing" tab).

I have Windows Xp Media Center Edition Verison 2002 SP2.

Try clicking on "My Docs" folder. Then right click on "My Vidoes" folder and go to properiters..
Once you do that you will see 3 tabs. General, Sharing, and Web Sharing....

Does your Xp have this?

Thanks!

Web Sharing must be unique to XP Media Center.
