hp laptop d/ backup wont work

my hp laptop has a d/ drive for backup but when I try to back up files I get a backup failed notification

Hi patrick477,

Welcome to the BC forums.

Your d/ drive is probably set up for use as a recovery drive, as opposed to a place for backups.

Look at START -> COMPUTER and a screen showing your various drives should pop up. Does it show Recover (D:)?

Take a look at the HP Customer Care site here and see if it addresses your problem.
