I've successfully gotten up to step#17 of your instructions for removing Security Shield from my computer. Now I am having trouble deleting my hosts file. I downloaded the link that was provided for the batch file (although it didn't seem like there was anything). The link never showed up on my desktop, but I found it by searching my computer. When I hit "run" I did get a small black window that disappeared quickly. But where do I go from there? Where do I go to access my HOSTS file? Do I really need to do this step? Thanks.

How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
