I turned on my computer and my e-mail was all gone.
My documents pictures all gone.
My e-mail messages and contacts gone.

I had the generic welcome message in my Windows mail inbox ( i have been using this inbox for a long time)

My desktop wallpaper was gone back to default.
All of my docs and pics were gone.

Now my files are back.
My mail is still gone.

This same thing happened months ago and corrected it's self.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Well...I would run the appropriate hard drive diagnostic (long test) on the hard drive.

Typically...the inability to read data...indicates a problem with the hard drive or the file system (which rests on the hard drive).
