I have a 22" Samsung Syncmaster 226BW monitor that flickers at an extremely fast rate. The screen almost appears to stay on. If my memory serves me correctly, it would do that for a few minutes & then stop flickering when it first started doing it. Now, I've had it on for over an hour & it's still doing it. From my google searches, I suspect capacitors or a backlight, but have no idea where to start.

I've tried it on several computers. Some with Windows Vista & some with Linux Ubuntu & Xubuntu. Currently connected to Xubuntu 10.10. I could easily connect it to any of the 3. If that's any help.

ps. I've also tried banging on it
