On my Dell xps m1210 32 bit using Vista w/Service Pack 1

Trying to add Anti-Virus program.

My AVG oem version expired and after using the AVG removal program I tried to reload AVG. No luck. So I uninstalled it and emailed AVG for my refund.

Then I tried to install McAfee. Got most of the way done until I got the following error:

Install.exe Application Error.
Exception Array bounds exceeded
0x000008c occurred in the application at location 0x76c04Zeb

Click OK to terminate program

I used McAfee's chat service. They took control of my pc and after running some tests they replied it was a Internet Explorer error and I should contact Microsoft.

Any suggestions?

Since you are already receiving help here, please continue in that thread. Do not start new threads or duplicate topics as this causes confusion and makes it more difficult to get the help you need to resolve your issues. Further, it necessitates staff spending time with housecleaning to remove those duplicate postings...time which could have been provided to others needing assistance.

Thanks for your cooperation.
