I have my browser (Google Chrome) set to download everything by default onto the desktop. However, very often, when I download attachments, they won't be visible until I right-click on the desktop and select Refresh.

I have downloaded larger files (such as videos) that take 30 seconds or so to complete (the download), and I usually see the icon for that file, even before the download is complete. However, other types of files won't appear immediately, like I'm used to, until I select the Refresh option. Is there any option I can select within Windows explorer, that will keep me from having to do this?
