I've read bits about dealing with and removing ISTbar from infected systems. Unfortunate for me I still have it on my system and would like some futher assistance with containing and removing this virus.

OS = XP pro

Now what ive done is deleted and removed all files from my C:/Temp file, Cookies file, Internet Temp file etc.

The files remaining in these folders are files i can not remove, rename or delete.

Ive tried in both Safe Mode and Normal mode but no luck. On scanning with Bit Defender its detected in the same Temp folder but i am unable to delete or remove these folders. (Souce Error message) <== with attempts ro delete these files on my system.

Can anyone give me some direction with containing ISTbar

Thanks :thumbsup:
