Running Windows Vista, and I was trying to clean up my hard drive, but everything I try to uninstall has a message that says the program is already uninstalled, even though it is clearly shown in my programs menu. I have tried to uninstall numerous programs, but I get this message every time. I have tried running Malwarebytes, AVG, and WindowsDefender, but nothing is coming up.

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Try doing a system restore to a time before this started happening the download this tool from this link http://www.aplusfreeware.com/categories/util/uninst.html and try uninstalling the item you don't want then !

Good Luck !

What happens if you try to run the application from the programs menu? I'll be willing to be you get an application not found or some sort of missing program error. If it's not in add/remove programs or whatever vista calls it, it's gone and it's a remnant in your programs list. You 'should' be able to right click and delete the item. I don't use Vista or have much exposure so I'm making an assumption there.

I would also see what show up with Revo just to be sure.

Yes Revo would be good indication of what is going on in there.

The registry cleaners seemed to fix the problem. Thanks so much!
