I am working on this desktop

The video drivers absolutley revuse to stick around after multiple trys of installing from fresh uninstalls. The system will say what it is from a new hardware found after i restart it. Also, when it is booting up, it displays a dotted pattern on the black gateway screen and also the the black windows loading screens. This dont happen when the onboard video is being used instead. This leads me to believe hardware failure on the video card. (it is a Geforce 8800GT)I took it out and wiped off the leads and all, and the fan spins when its on.

Thanks again for helps!
