I think my computer caught a cold:

I was using my computer (not downloading anything) and all of a sudden it wouldn't open any programs. The mouse and start menu were responsive but nothing would open, not even the shut down menu. I turned it off and the next time it started up, this Palladium program showed up before it got to the desktop. It said that there were several errors on my computer that needed fixing. I looked into it on another computer and everyone is saying that this is a fake anti-virus program. I tried booting up in Safe Mode with Networking, killed palladium.exe, and tried downloading an antivirus program but couldn't get online for some reason. Any other ideas?

Go to Start ... Run and type in cmd
A dos Window will appear.
Type in the dos window: netsh winsock reset
