Hello to everyone! I'm not new to the site, technically; however this is the first time I've ever registered here - First, I want to applaud this site: I have been coming here for a few years now, and have had near-100% success in removing malware (even some very difficult "special" situations) from infected client PC's / servers / laptops. As a network admin with a cert or two under the ol' belt, I could configure a Pix or ASA5500 all day long, but knew much LESS about malware, it's evolution, and how to remove it, than I'd ever imagined. I never believe I "know it all", for sure; I'm just extremely stubborn, hungry to learn, and will research, and try things, and lose many nights of sleep before I concede that I need help. Somehow I have a feeling I'm not alone in that practice? :busy: As long as I have come here, and followed directions (emphasizing this) TO THE LETTER, of the tutorials & instructions posted here, I have yet to have a problem regarding malware (& a few other things) that I wasn't able to eventually clean up (a few times, had to give up & reload system; but data was fully recovered). Don't want to write a book here, just wanted to say thank you so much to all the volunteers for your years of assistance, and very sorry that I am just now getting around to registering! I hope to be able to continue learning, and then eventually, to give back to this community that has helped me so much over the years!

Thanks again!

P.S. I always LOVED the name "bleeping computer"! Couldn't think of any name more appropriate for a site such as this; but guys, honestly? you blow all the other "help sites" out of the water, in your sleep, haha

Hello and :welcome: to Bleeping Computer.

Thanks for your kind words.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
