Hi all
My first post
One of my client is running W2K Workstation and their Avast detected 2 Win32:Trojan-gen (Adobe & HP1006MC.EXE)
I ran combofix and in middle of the scan it rebooted her PC
While continuing the ComboFix after the reboot the 2 Popup came up about "Cannot import Creg.dat & Sregc.dat error accessing the registry" she cliked OK
The combofix finished and had deleted 3 files ;
c:\documents and settings\bmorris\GoToAssistDownloadHelper.exe
C:\Install.exe
c:\winnt\Web\default.htt

I ran malwarebyte , nothing found
I Rebooted her PC , no errors during reboot
I decided to run again comnbofix , and again in middle of the scan it rebooted her PC but this time there was a Popup during that reboot that says "The Max registry is too small"
And also again while continuing the ComboFix after the reboot the 2 Popup came up about "Cannot import Creg.dat & Sregc.dat error accessing the registry" she cliked OK
This time no deletion were done on Combofix , I restarted her PC and no registry error
I wonder if those registry popup could of been cause from Combofix or her PC has a problem
Please let me know if you have any ideas
Thank you all
Norm

Hello having run ComboFix we need to see that and a DDS log.

Please go here....
Preparation Guide ,do steps 6 - 9.

Create a DDS log and post it in the new topic explained in step 9 which is here Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs and not in this topic, thanks.
Skip the GMER step and instead post the ComboFix log you posted earlier.

Let me know if that went well.
