i know my computer needs about 1.5 of ram,but my computer is always freezing,mouse and all and was wondering if i re-install xp will it maybe help or hurt???here are my specs if it tells you anything at all....

Please download VEW and save it to your Desktop: http://images.malwareremoval.com/vino/VEW.exe

Double-click VEW.exe then under Select log to query, select:
Application
System


Under Select type to list, select:
Critical (Vista only)
Error


Click the radio button for Number of events
Type 20 in the 1 to 20 box
Then click the Run button.
Notepad will open with the output log.

In Notepad, click Edit > Select all then Edit > Copy
Reply to this post, click in the reply window and press Ctrl+V on your keyboard to paste the log.

First thing I would try is to uninstall and then reinstall AVAST and see if that improves the situation.

Also, I take it this is a Dell computer. What is the model type/number?
