I want terminal to distinguish between files/folders and comments by adding color to the different text. For example, a UNIX vi editor does this on windows:

The color changes based on system files, comments, code etc. and i want terminal on a mac to do the same.

I am using a MacBook Pro OS X version 10.6.6

Can anyone help me with this.

Vim (Vi IMproved) for Mac OS X


Not sure if it will work for the later versions, but its worth a try.
