I was following the instructions provided here before posting a malware removal request on the forum, but I cannot run DDS.scr, as I think the virus/malware on my computer is stopping it from running.

When I try to run the dds application, a box pops up saying "Application cannot be executed. The file dds.scr is infected. Do you want to activate your antivirus software now?" and if click 'yes' it goes to some scammy website selling 'anti-virus'. If I click 'No' it wont let me run the DDS application.

What do I do? Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Hi,

Rename dds.scr -> iEXPlore.exe and try to run that.
