Ive been hearing a lot about the IPv4 switch over to IPv6. My question is this. If and When ISP's switch over to IPv6 what is the impact going to be for residential customers? Im assuming i would need to exchange my current modem for an IPv6 one but what about my router? My router doesn't currently support ipv6. I also would like to know what the impact would be for small business. I manage about 6 independent networks for one person, most of which only have a router and switch but a few also have a pfsense firewall on them. Would all of the equipment need to be replaced (I.E. Router, firewalll, switch, ect...). Im just want to know whats going to be involved so i can start preparing. From what i have heard they want to complete the transition by 2012. Thanks in advance for the infomation! :busy:
