Have you recently upgraded the driver for your ethernet card or installed any network related hw or sw?

Well, the two files cited are both network related. Typical causes for those errors are either driver conflicts or hardware issues (there also was a known issue with NAV, which is why I asked). If you haven't changed drivers it could be as simple as a failing ethernet card, though candidly that's fairly rare. You might want to see if there are new drivers for your chipset and / or ethernet card. You can also check for a bios update. You can also check all startup items to make sure there is no conflict with some process starting with the OS. After that, we start looking for zebras.

OK. I will check for BIOS and ethernet card updates but I'm pretty sure they are up to date. How do I check for a startup conflict?

Thank you,
Dan

Run msconfig and choose selective startup (disable everything) and reboot. If there are no bsod's, start adding items back one or two at a time until the problem recurs and you'll have identified the culprit. Problem is, with bsod's there's no telling when or how often they will occur and this can be a very time consuming process, unless you have a way to force the bsod (that is, if you know some specific action always results in the error).

I just checked for a bios update and there is one. I have downloaded the file. I will flash the bios and check for an ethernet card update and if one I will apply it also. Then I will check for the startup conflicts.

Thanks,
Dan

Please remove the following:

1/23/2011 12:35 AM: DriverCure

1/23/2011 2:00 PM: SystemToolsDailyTest

1/25/2011 2:42 PM: Ad-Aware Update (Weekly)

1/30/2011 10:00 AM: PCDoctorBackgroundMonitorTask

You do not need those programs, and I would also make sure to visit the following:

http://www.dell.com to verify that you have the latest drivers, for your lap top. If you are unable to find updated drivers there, you can try http://www.intel.com and get the updates for your Intel 965 Chipset.
