Hi tpm -
Do you mean there is also overheating problems, or was this a 'general statement' -
Please try the above from hamluis and post back if there is still a problem -

Sorry... general statement. Also freezing at win log on (can't get past it) maybe I should just wipe it and start over?

Plus I can't get the keyboard to work. I tried 2 keyboards (I don't have a USB connection keyboard, only the standard one) Mouse is through a USB port

Hi again
I have been able to get into safemode but cannot get the keyboard to be recognized
Getting into safemode is hit and miss because it will occasionally freeze
Thanks

Do you have access to a USB connect keyboard at all - If you are using a wireless keyboard also check the batteries etc. in it -
Sometimes the reception from the wireless units are the problem -
Just 'general suggestions' if you have not already attempted those options -

I was now able to get into the computer. Using the on screen keyboard I was able to complete the "Log me in" sign in. I still don't have physical keyboard, only the "Ease of Access" on screen board.
I was able to get into Device manager and see this. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Do I get these files from the XP disc or the driver disc??

Thanks
