help!!! my computer hangs up on the intro "SONY" display and will not boot up while the usb cord is plugged in. As soon as I unplug it, it reboots. the usb cord is attached to a hub that is connected to a compact flash card reader and an external disk drive (which is turned off).

Once you have the computer booted go to the properties for the USB bus in the Device Manager select 'uninstall Drivers" . Then reinstall the drivers. See if that works for you. It sounds like a corrupted driver.

You might also go into bios and check boot order. If it is a newer computer it might have boot from usb device and possibly it has gotten moved ahead of hard drive.
