I am trying to get my fiance's parents home PC running again. I reviewed the malware removal thread, but i would like to try fixing this woth maybe a good av on my own first. My question is can the other computer in my home or the router get infected by plugging the infected PC into the the wall wich is inturn connected to the other computers in my home. It would be counterproductive to end up with virus's on all my equipment. Actually i use a different isp than the second computer. I use cable the other computer uses dsl, so there could be no possible way to cross contaminate, correct? Also what is a very strong av and also a as program i could use? I need something strong! Any other suggestions as to first steps to take would be great. I have recieved nothing but exellent recources from this forum and site as a whole. Thank you for youre patients
Namaste
