We had a mini doxie named Penny. She was a special little dog. We had to put her down when she was 20. She had Alzheimers and forgot how to eat. She loved to play with her toys and her ball. When we took a shower as soon as she heard the water running she would grab her ball bring it to the bathroom, stand on her hind feet and drop her ball in the tub for us to throw out and of course as soon as we threw the ball she was back with it. She thought when you got down on the floor it was to play ball with her. When we first moved here I wanted to put lace curtains in the windows. The fabric store employee did not cut the lace straight so my husband got his square we spread the fabric on the floor and you guessed it there she was with her ball. Trying to get the lace measured straight, throw the ball and keep her out of the middle of the lace and rumpling it up was a chore but we finally did it. She will always be with us in our hearts and we know that she is waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge.
