depends on the video out connector on your computer. As far as resolution HDMI > VGA > S-Video. Unfortunately I have only s-video out on my laptop so that's what I use but I hate it, it is so tedious to plug in the little pins to the holes because I can't see that well.

Once you are plugged in, press Win+X to enter the Windows Mobility Center. Then adjust your sound and whatever you want and connect to display.

You need a mic cable too if you want sound.

The easiest way to do all this is if you have a ps3 or xbox 360 to just stream wirelessly through that.

edit: NOTE: this cable don't support signal from VCR, COMPUTER or LAPTOP output

looks like it won't work. just search around for another one, I am sure they exist for laptops

Are you certain it's HDMI on the TV? That would be unusual to find on an older CRT TV.

VGA is an analog signal without audio and HDMI is digital carrying both video and audio, so you cannot adapt between them using simply a cable. You would need to buy a VGA to HDMI converter box.

This is just an example that came up when I Googled:

That's hard to say, how much use do you expect to make of it?
