Not sure if this is the right place!

I have a multiboot system, comprising of a few flavours of linux, windows xp and windows 7 and it's all set to boot from the grub boot loader..... Well almost! If i want to load XP or 7 there is just a single windows entry in grub, this then takes me to the Windows 7 boot loader where i can choose Windows 7 or an older version of windows i.e. XP.

I would like now though to do a fresh install of Windows XP, and i presume that if i do, the Windows 7 boot loader will be wiped? If so, wil it be possible to reinstall the loader?

thanks

Relevant Links

My experience (dual-boot XP and Win 7) is that trying to do a clean install of XP (minus any other drive reflecting a different O/S) resulted in an XP install resulted in an XP install that booted properly. If I then had wanted to reestablish my dual-boot, I would have had to do a reinstall of Win 7, to make it bootable again and make the XP boot.ini subordinate to the Vista/Win 7 bootloader.

One of the links listed above may offer an easier, more reliable way.

Thanks Louis,

Looked at a few links (note to self...google is my friend  ), and it is possible to reinstall the window 7 boot loader after installing XP, without having to do a complete fresh install of 7.....Phew!!!

For anyone else, instructions here.....
