Acklan helped me with this. I turn on my computer and on the screen where it loads the hardware it stops at processor. We concluded it was the hard drive, so i installed windows on my extra one and it worked fine, started getting drivers installed, downloading all my programs. I turned it on and off frequently for about 3 hours. The all the sudden it does the same thing, stops at processor. I can't enter bios and I can't enter boot menu. Please help. This makes me think it's not the hard drive, but something with the power supply possibly.

Do you have another PS you can try? Do you have a used computer store? I know the on's here sell used PS for $10. Could be a cheap way to test. Did you ever get the power reading off the power supply?

I didn't get a reading. Now all the sudden it works perfectly. I don't know what it was, but I am going to buy an external hard drive to back up my internal hard drive. No unusual noises, cpu is running at normal levels, no excessive over heating. I'm guessing nothing's wrong now. thanks though
