I have a lexmark x75 printer. When I try to scan a document it almost completes the scan, then I get message OCR software not installed. I do not have the CD that came with the printer. Does anyone know where I can get a free copy of this software or what I can do to get the printer to scan. I want to save the scan document into Microsoft Word 2003. Thanks!!!!

Right here

Uninstall all existing Lexmark software then disconnect the USB cable from the printer and reboot.
Reinstall the drivers & dont plug in the USB cable until prompted to do so
In the beginning there was the command line.

I downloaded the drivers from the website and followed all the instructions. When I try to scan I get the same message as before. "An OCR application is provided for you on your CD in the OCR directory. Selcet ok to cancel this scan operation install your OCR software, and try your scan again.
