pc freezing

ok pc keeps freezing every so often typically 3 hours, but has been at point of 10 minutes, i d loaded speccy program and says temps are cpu is 25c and hdd is 34c, i downloaded hardware sensor monitor 4.5 and it says mainboard 27c cpu1 30c and cpu2 108c!!!!!! cpu core 25c cel, hdd 34c so numbers are similar but what is the cpu2? thanks

What is new or different since the last time everything worked properly (ie, new hw, new sw, virus, error, etc)?

i changed the radeon card last time to g force but was still having similer issues sometimes i have to hard boot it 3 times to get it to sound normal as far as fan speed hard boots then i just hard boot again then get normal low speed fan

Please boot to safe mode and see if the system freezes there.

......but what is the cpu2?


If you are running a dual core processor that would explain cpu 2.

yea i dont believe this is a dule core lol its a emachine t6522

should i try safe mode with networks then just browse to see if freezes

I'd rather just safe mode - or a clean boot (with msconfig) if you prefer.

ok i am in safe mode but choice network, i will see if freezes seems slow as far as vid card now but ill run a few high deff vids

see if i just let pc sit for a while go to store or somthing come back in a hour then it will be froze, so nothing running

ok did a clean boot now i have a million things running and cannot do a restore from past

I don't understand what you are talking about. Did the system freeze in safe mode? If not we probably have a software conflict. I thought you were going to leave it in safe mode for a while.

I'm logging off shortly. I'll check back in the morning to see how the thread is progressing.

When you switched from ATI to nVidia did you make sure that you removed all the ATI Drivers?
