I would try using a tool such as Revo Uninstaller. That program appears to be a bit old and totally unsupported now.

I searched the registry and the files using Regseeker to no avail.

Where could it be hiding?

Have you tried All File and Folders in Search for it?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

Yes, and the search came up with six 0 Byte files:

I deleted them, no change.

What now?

I can get past all the PCForrest and memory errors and run Photo Pos Pro OK, but if I interrupt the process, the PC will freeze.

(Photo Pos Pro is excellent)

Strange, very strange.

Well...you could always reinstall it...then remove it using a tool such as previously suggested.

Honestly, I don't see how any remnnant can remain without a registry entry or a file entry.

That error indicates a Windows Installer error...I would install version 4.5 or try the Installer Cleanup Tool.

This sounds like a orphan file. One of the places to look for it is in the temp files. You could try deleting the temp files.

Please download TFC by Old Timer and save it to your desktop.
alternate download link
  • Save any unsaved work. (TFC will close ALL open programs including your browser!)
  • Double-click on TFC.exe to run it. (If you are using Vista, right-click on the file and choose "Run As Administrator".)
  • Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process and let it run uninterrupted to completion.
  • Important! If TFC prompts you to reboot, please do so immediately. If not prompted, manually reboot the machine anyway to ensure a complete clean.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.

OK I uninstalled Photo Pos Pro.

Downloaded and installed Microsoft installer upgrade.

Downloaded and ran TFC

When I reinstalled Photo Pos Pro it stated that the external program PC Forrest Startman is running with the errors as before.

Where the heck is it coming from?

The program installs and runs OK but I must always click through 6 error messages.

Next?
