Hi

I tried installing a couple of updates today (I had to google them first in case they were nasty little bleeders that Microsoft just chuck out to people under false pretences or something - something they've been known to do). Well..I've never had this problem before, but when I check for updates, it connects sure enough and it tells me the updates are available, but I'm NOT getting the downloads. Instead I'm just getting the error code pop up "Code 800706B5" within the update window. Any ideas as to A) What the HECK it means, and B)how to get the darn thing to go away so I can get the updates I need?

Thanks for any help.

What is the update that gives you the error?

There's a number of them.
Important
KB2419640
KB890830

Optional
KB2454826

Again, it's not downloading anything it's just simply giving me that error message - saying it's an unknown error.
Once I clicked on the try again button a little too quickly and it gave me the same error message but decided to include the statement that updates were already being downloaded - but they weren't.....

This is an update on my update issue, I discovered that it was a program conflict with a driver download software that seemed to severely impact Window's ability to be able to download anything. Problem solved.
