I don't know what has happened to my computer. No major problems till past 2 weeks. Tried to install Belkin wireless router, must have done something wrong with the security set up as since then, it hangs up, critical error, program shutdowns, etc. Corrupted the Norton Antivirus was unable to get it back, other programs developed issues. Did not find anything with all of the forum steps other than cookies until I got to step 5 scan for malware. Forum instructions say be specific but I hope to get help, not bore you to death. Specific steps, etc. that I took are listed below the Hijack This log, as I don't know what info is necessary for you and what is just garbage or newbie ramblings. If you need additional information, I will try to provide the correct details. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

#5: Housecall did not work properly the first time, used alternative kernel and it appeared to work, don't believe Panda worked, BitDefender said no viruses
#6 Stinger reported nothing
#7 Installed ZoneLabs Zone Alarm firewall, online & local scan reported keystroke logger "Blackbox", critical if AOL use (I don't). Recommended quarentine and restart. Did so.

Upon restart, many message windows (errors, etc) popped up, freaked out, killed internet connection. Examples of messages:

"No disk in drive, please insert", would not allow "cancel", "retry" or close (x), "continue" worked;
next error was same exact thing
ISP security alert, wanted to send error report, looked at what it wanted to send: 9 text files, a zip file, an application program and 14 files LO1, LO2, LO3, etc. clicked "Don't Send"
Warning that system would become unstable, and no access to internet if didn't let it send. Still NO. (System same level of instability as before error, and can too get internet.)
Error message from program I didn't recognize wanted to repair itself, didn't let it.
Shut down and restart, still wants to send reports, say no, it shuts itself down and restart on its own, no report message, shuts down/restarts repeatedly(4+? times)
Got to safe mode to try uninstall ISP security, wouldn't first time, then did
Restarted, MS message says Computer recovered from serious issue, send report to microsoft, first time said no, restart same message wants to send 2 files, ....TEMP\WERec7d.dir00\mini121005-01.dmp & ......TEMP\WERec7d.dir00\sysdata.xml, gave up, let it send.
Restart, ZA opened, updated, ran virus scan, found 1 called Virtual Bouncer, quarentined.
Downloaded HJT, ran it, see above log.........I don't know if things are better or if I made them worse, any advice would be sincerely appreciated!

Thank you.

Hi mama4cats and Welcome to the Bleeping Computer!

I dont see much from the HijackThis log so lets look a bit deeper!

Download WinPFind:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/winpfind.php

Right Click the Zip Folder and Select "Extract All"

Don't use it yet

Reboot into SAFE MODE(Tap F8 when restarting)
Here is a link on how to boot into Safe Mode:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen...src=sec_doc_nam

From the WinPFind folder-> Doubleclick WinPFind.exe and Click "Start Scan"

It will scan the entire System, so please be patient

One you see "Scan Complete"-> a log (WinPFind.txt) will be automatically generated in the WinPFind folder

Run MSCONFIG and enable everything in the startup area. To get to MSCONFIG, click on Start -> Run -> type in MSCONFIG -> click OK!

Under the "General" Tab

Make Sure "Normal Startup-load all device drivers and services" has a green tick by it

Click Apply->Close->Follow the Prompts to Restart

Restart Normal and Download and Save Blacklight to your desktop:

Double-click blbeta.exe then accept the agreement, leave [X]scan through Windows Explorer checked, click > scan then > next

You'll see a list of all items found. There will also be a log on your desktop with the name fsbl.xxxxxxx.log (the xxxxxxx stand for numbers).

Copy and paste this log in your next reply. Don't choose the rename option yet! I want to see the log first, because legitimate items can also be present there, such as "wbemtest.exe"

Post back with a fresh HijackThis log and the results of WinPFind and Blacklight.

Hello Cretemonster -

Please allow me to apologize for not removing this post yesterday, as the issue is now moot.

That computer was erased and reloaded with an OS, as there was not much vital data there anyway. After that, I installed an upgraded sound board and blew it up. I am now trying to deal with that issue, if possible, on the hardware board.

Again, please accept my apologies as I see how many folks desperately need your expertise.
