I am retired on a fixed income. I am having so many virus and malware problems with my computer I want to learn to fix them my self since, I cant afford the luxury of purchasing fixes any more. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jplster,

Rkill and mbam, search for and download these two programs, they are more or less the best things for removing malware and viruses etc. As far as anti virus programs go for general use, you might want to try Microsoft security essentials or avast. they're free and just as good as most others but have a low footprint, I.e. don't slow your pc down like mcaffee or norton for instance. I tell you the amount of virus ridden PC's and laptops I've seen at work running a fully updated copy of norton/mcaffee or other so called anti virus programs is unbelievable.

If you will post about your specific problems in the AM I INFECTED? Forum, with as much detail about what his happening as you can, I am sure our Members can help you.
