i got something nasty on my computer that prevents me from accessing windows update and other spyware/malware problems. after installing and running a variety of programs (malwarebytes, avg, avast, safety.live.com, symantec, trendmicro, etc) i have managed most of the problems. but now i am trying to run combofix. i have 2 problems with combofix:
1) it wasnt running because i had avg installed, and although i went through millions of attempts to uninstall it, it's really not disappearing completely enough because i keep getting a message from combofix saying something about it, which leads me to the next problem
2) combofix is running in japanese or cantonese and no matter how many times i try to reinstall it, it keeps using this language, therefor making it difficult to determine what it's trying to tell me? i was able to make it to the blue diagnostic screen, but again, all in japanese. dont want to mess anything up so i exited combofix but i'd really like to figure this out.

any takers?

You shouldn't be running Combofix on your own.

With the information you have provided I believe you will need help from the malware removal team. I would like you to start a new thread and post a DDS log HERE and include a link to this thread. Please make sure that you read the information about getting started before you start your thread.

It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient. Help is on the way!
