This one has probably been done before but I can't find anything in the web that suits my needs with this problem and I don't have alot of time to search forums before my computer restarts.
I have Vista. I am infected with System Tool. I didn't click anything to install it, I just started my computer this morning and the background flashed "You've been infected with spyware!" or some stupid thing and the computer then turned off.

I've read I need to use Malwarebytes to remove it but Malwarebytes will not install. I followed instructions to rename the file to get it to run, but that does not work. Regedit will also not open. Task manager will not open. Adaware will not install. When I try any of these things, a message that says "Warning! Application cannot be executed. The file ccSvcHst.exe is infected." appears.

EDIT: I have moved this to Am I Infected from Vista
Hello and welcome, there are several steps in this guide that should help.

Please follow our Removal Guide here Remove System Tool and SystemTool .
You will move to the Automated Removal Instructions

After you completed that, post your scan log here, let me know how things are.
The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply. Be sure to post the complete log to include the top portion which shows MBAM's database version and your operating system.

How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
