I am recently trying to rid viruses and malware from a friends computer. However, the usual Malwarebytes and ccleaner are not doing the trick this time. He is infected with Ascentive Performance Center and PC speedscan pro, which will not uninstall.

The first run of malewarebytes yielded many infections. Zango was one of them, and many others. Malwarebytes and super anti spyware result in zero infetions, but this computer is still having trouble.

The troubles are very slow startup, even though all optional start up programs are disabled, and firefox often redirects certain websites to others. The ascentive performance center and PC speedscan pro keep pooping up on starup (even though it is disabled). I can't access windows update, and to access the web I needed to change my internet options to access the internet without a proxy.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Hello, this is difficult to remoove as it has hideen and unfamiiar names associted with it. Best to post a DDS log and have them find it all.
We need a deeper look. Please go here....
Preparation Guide ,do steps 6 - 9.

Create a DDS log and post it in the new topic explained in step 9,which is here Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs and not in this topic, thanks.
If Gmer won't run, skip it and move on.
Let me know if that went well.
