When I start my computer I get an error message in a box with the title RUNDLL.
The message is:-
Error in C/windows\system\nvcpl.dll Missing entry :nvstartup.
Will reinstalling XP over the top cure this or is there something else i should be doing.
Also the machine seems to take a long time to shut down (five minutes plus) could this be related?
Thanks for any help with this issue.

Nvcpl refers to nVidia control panel, which should relate to your video drivers.

I would simply uninstall the current video drivers, using Device Manager...and then reinstall them.
