I can't change my avatar for some reason. I put up a funny little cartoon pic, but now I want to change it to something else. I went to change my profile settings and uploaded a new avatar, but when I put up some posts, my avatar stayed the same as it was (the cartoon). Does it take some time to change, or should I be doing something to make it change?

When you go into your profile is it the old one or the new one?

In addition to what Grinler has asked.

This is the avatar I see, and it's not a cartoon:

How To Add An Avatar

If you experience problems, changing an Avatar:
Some times, the board can be a bit finicky about changing an Avatar, and your new selection won't be immediately displayed.
Here's the method I recommend trying, when this happens.

On the page where you make your Avatar selection, click Remove Avatar under the image of your current Avatar.
Clear your browser's cache (Firefox), or your Temporary Internet Files (IE).
Close your browser.
Restart your browser.
