i have a inspiron 1721 with win xp pro and i somehow contracted thinkpoint...it was hard to boot up but i eventually could. but now everytime i boot up...and log in, explorer.exe does not start and the keyboard is unresponsive to any key strokes including ctrl alt delete.

in safe mode everything works, slowly. safe mode with networkng does not work...wirelessly or wired connection. i would like to be able to connect so i can download a new AV, since comodo says i cant run it in safe mode...wtf?

am i infected? i used my blackberry to surf answers to removing thinkpoint...and i think i have...no registry entries
no files of thinkpoint... or hotfix.exe

i would like to get this fixed...as i dont want to buy a new hard drive and a new copy of windows xp or any windows (as i have a full oem version of xp pro somewhere...)

any help would be great!!!!

thanks all!
