Hello all,

My name is Davis and I am a web designer (template modifier mainly :) haha) from Houston, TX - and I just wanted to introduce myself to the forums. I have always seen bleeping computer in many places but I never really got down to registering. I love working on websites and I also sell business cards, flyers and all that other good stuff for printing. So that is a little about me :)~ see you in the forums!

Hello, Old5hool:

I saw your post initially in the "Windows 7" forum about being redirected by IE to random pages. Although I see your post has now been moved to the "Virus, Trojan, Spyware, and Malware Removal Logs" forum, you may find it will take a while for them to get back to you. (I’ve been waiting a week since posting there.)

Here’s what I did to cure my “redirect virus” because I couldn’t wait any longer for them to reply, and you might try it yourself in the meantime. I’m sure it won’t interfere with anything the Malware Removal Technicians would suggest.

I went to: http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro and downloaded the latest version of their software (HitmanPro35.exe). After I ran it, it found and deleted my “redirect virus” very quickly, and I’ve had no problems since.

Good luck!

P.S. I just noticed you said you worked on websites--I'm a web developer, too.
