American soldiers are risking their lives all over the globe defending America's interests and defending the freedoms that many of us take for granted.

Do you take Soldiers for granted?

Backstage at the Country Music Awards, celebrities provided messages of thanks to soldiers around the globe as part of the launch for Thank A Soldier Week which begins December 19th.

During Thank a Soldier Week (December 19-25), Townhall.com is encouraging Americans to stop for a moment and give thanks to the men and women risking everything for us.

Go to http://www.thankasoldierweek.com, watch the video and then fill out the form -- it's simple and is the right thing to do!!!

Yeh, we need to thank the troops. They are risking alot and giving up alot while doing their job. This has to be a tough time for them being away from friends and family during the holidays especially. I have a couple of friends in Iraq that I keep in touch with e-mails. Everyone should give them a big THANKS and wish them luck, they deserve it.

Somewhat related in terms of support. At my high school, one of the past seniors who graduated two years ago went directly into the army after school and is now stationed in Iraq. Our orchestra sent him and his squad this huge care package that was sent like December third and should (hopefully) get to him at Christmas.

Thats what the soldiers need, support. Not this anti-war crap and anti-soldier crap. It pains me to see all of the bad news coming out against the troops and little to nothing good about them. I'm getting tired of hearing politicians bash the troops while they are there with a chance they could be ingured or worse.

By the way, is there any way I can get a windows media file hosted or something? It would work perfectly in this thread. If anybody remembers (I belive it was,) This past Super Bowl game in a commercial, showing men and women (in uniform) walking off a plane and the entire airport is applauding for them. Its 1.7 megs and I'd really like to post it, if that is aloud, just incase this question if violating any terms.
