When on battery power computer lags??

Hey guys, i have a dell laptop with 2 gb of ram.. When it is plugged in it does not lag at all.. Like if i move the windows around it doesnt lag, but if its on battery it does.. i have tried to change the power option to performance, but it still lags.. Thanks

Yes, it happens right when i unplug it. its so weird! :wacko:

Nope. What is it?

Oh and this only lags when it is on Aero..

It's Dell's system management tool, usually installed on their laptops. It's for power management, battery meter, networking etc.
If it is on your machine it will show up as a Blue "Q" with a couple of Yellow arrows to the side of it in your system tray (unless you have your tray set to hide inactive icons).

Dont have it. Its because i did a clean install of Windows 7.

Open your power options window, click on "change plan settings" for the plan you are using, select "Change advanced power settings"

scroll down to processor, set to 100% on battery, see if it makes a difference.

I tried that but it didnt work. Then i scrolled down farther to the ATI powerplay thing. Then i did performance not battery and it worked! Thanks guys! :)
