In Task Manager under Processes "iexplore.exe" is listed twice and "explorer.exe" is listed once. Should it be that way or is something wrong?

Memory Usage for one of the "iexplorer.exe" is often greater thatn 100,000 K and my computer slows down.

I have IE8 and Windows XP.
I run McAfee, Adaware and Malwarebites on my computer.

If IE is opened already, it's normal.
IE8, not like previous IE versions, will open 2 iexplore.exe processes from the get go.
Each new tab will open another process.
