Ok, I am trying to get a laptop for gaming purposes, i would like to keep it under 1500 without warranty, but needs one, so maybe 1700-1950? with one, but a little over is ok, also if it could be dell? would be nice. I like the warranty they have. suggestions? Need to know by end of today/tomorrow. Any help is nice, if not i going to have to just risk it i guess ^^ =D was looking at Alienware though. are they good, but i keep going over? i want a solid-state drive? xD don't neeed it though, but i think they are cool. =)but $600 is way expensive for it.

Edit: Also, what about XPS and inspirionS? are they any good for gaming? haven't read any reviews stateing they were, or were not.

My Brother helped me out, He custom made the XPS 17, with a i7, 3gb nvidia graphics card, 640gb hard drive SATA. It cam up to $1937
but there are a couple discounts I'm going to add to make it in the price range. I would copy/paste info in here but that function doesn't work at the moment ^^ (fixing)
Is it good for what i need?

Thanks in advanced

I would just go to dell spec it out and order it. XPS and Aleinware are my personal choice if mobile gaming is what your going to be doing. I don't think you can get anything online and get it overnighted for monday. The earliest that you can get something online would be Tuesday. The only thing you could do is go to like a Best Buy and get one there if time important. But Best Buy might not have the specs for what you want. I could be wrong about getting something overnighted from dell but give them a call and ask. But I am pretty sure that anything that is sent immediately is not custom its stock.

The price you pay for it which gives you some mad performance for a laptop :)

No it's just a decent laptop thats way overpriced, you could have gotten a Toshiba thats better for the same price. Not to mention the Battalion 101series.

I don't like Toshiba, =) just a personal grudge against them =)
And does Battalion 101 series(never heard of it) have the amazing warranty dell offers? I am prone to breaking things and dell will cover everything as long as the computer (or the parts to it) are there. ^^ Which is what i need. Plus I already bought it now, It fits my needs (or i think it does) and was in my price range so i don't mind. But i do agree that an alienware fully upgraded is pretty ridiculous in price. but what computer that is, isn't?

funny you ask becuase I am actually on the search for the best 1,500 dollar laptop I can buy. I'm more focused on specs, I honestly haven't looked at the warranties but here are three that I have found that are amazing for the price.

From best to worst:

1. Asus G73JH-X5
2. HP ENVY 17 3D
3. Qosmio X505-Q896

Upon further review the battalion is amazing, but expensive too, around 2,000. Really need to get some input on these bad boys, I want to make the best decision; haven't stopped looking around either.
